Belle Pastels

There's something about pastels that I love. They're so light, feminine, and vintage. As a blonde with fair skin, light pink is my favorite color to wear because it doesn't wash me out.
Pastels are nostalgic of spring airiness.

Pastels can sometimes create the since of age- making for the perfect vintage decoration with a subtle hint of color.

I love this pastel backdrop!

Pastels don't have to be subtle- when used in unexpected ways (like as a lipstick), they can create a unique, eye-catching fashion statement.

What's your favorite way to use pastels- subtle or bold?

  1. There was a time, not too long ago, when pink was a bit uncool - I'm so pleased to see this feminine colour back in full force. Love these pics, that pale pink chanel bag is all sorts of beautiful! xxx

  3. Yea, Jenny... I've got to admit I look pretty terrible in hot pink. Not so flattering on pale skin. Maybe with a super tan? I'm still going to pass. I'm glad you're inspired though! I really wish pastels weren't so closely associated with Easter. Bunnies too. It just kind of ruins 2 things I love.

  4. I totally agree. Pink was sort of uncool. I just recently started wearing it and now I'm hooked. Light pink is just so soft and feminine- I love it! I LOVE that Chanel bag. I have to admit, I do have a knock-off that looks identical to it... but I bought it when I was young and naive and had no idea how unethical knock-off production is. For that reason I never carry it. It's a feeling far worse than buyer's remorse.
