Here's a special treat: another beautiful guest post by Sierra from Ocean Dreams! She's a fashion expert here to share her tips for incorporating tropical prints into your summer wardrobe!
It’s warming up outside and so are my outfits! With all of the recent trends on the rise I have suddenly found myself falling for heightened rainforest prints that make me feel alive and ready to greet the warm weather head on. My hotter-than-nature outfits are full of bright prints that bring in the perfect combination of color and florals for a fun spring time statement. Even though tropical prints are hot, there are certain ways to wear them correctly. Read on for some of my tips on scoring the perfect go-to nature look.
Yes, believe it or not, Neon shoes will go nicely with a rainforest printed shirt or dress. For a bright outfit that you won’t forget pair your tropical printed piece of clothing with bright shoes that match and complement your outfit. Even though the dress will be your focal point, the neon shoes will look magnificent paired with a printed masterpiece of an outfit.
Basic Neutral Pants and Skirts
If you wear a bold floral printed shirt you obviously don’t want it to clash with patterned pants or a skirt. That would be a fashion disaster. Instead pair your playful rainforest top with a neutral pair of pants, such as khaki or white. If you feel more comfortable in jeans and it isn’t insanely hot outside opt for cropped off jeans or longer jeans as opposed to slacks.
Minimal or No Accessories
Wearing minimal accessories is something to keep in mind when it comes time to put together your on-the-go tropical ensemble. If you have a cocktail ring or simple crystal earrings they will go nicely with your look. Don’t wear chunky jewelry or anything that will detract attention from your new frock – in fact, a tropical print will attract plenty of attention all on its own.
Keep these tips in mind and you’ll be ready to make a splash in the office or save your tropical treat for a day on the beach or on a fun vacation. Whatever you do don’t be afraid to wear bold tropical patterns and fun colors. Neon shoes and neutral pants are a must, but if you feel like adding a little extra pizzazz to the outfit then by all means go for it!
